Where we use cupping terminology or a scoring structure, we are citing the Specialty Coffee Association’s publicly published Coffee Value Assessment (CVA) standards (sca.coffee/research/coffee-standards) as an industry reference point — not claiming formal SCA certification, membership endorsement, or protocol compliance. Each review discloses whether it reflects a structured tasting session or an informal/desk evaluation, and whether the sample was purchased independently or provided by a roaster or brand.
